Brian Colomban

Brian Colomban has been the Principal of St. Joseph School in Garden City since the Summer of 2017.  Previously, he spent three years as the Principal of St. Pancras School in Glendale, Queens, part of the Diocese of Brooklyn.  Before that, he taught for five years at St. Joseph Catholic Academy in Astoria, Queens.  He holds a B.A. in English from Binghamton University, an M.S. Ed (Adolescent Ed, 7-12) from St. John’s University, and an Advanced Certificate in Administration and Supervision from Hunter College.  He is currently pursuing a Doctoral degree in education, with a concentration in social justice leadership, at Molloy College. A strong believer in the fact that building a strong culture and climate is the key to success for any school, Mr. Colomban is excited to continue the wonderful traditions and positive environment that St. Joseph has offered for years to Garden City and surrounding neighborhoods.

Mr. Colomban is an avid reader and writer, loves to exercise, and has been a vegan for over a year – he believes that part of our Mission as Catholics is to ensure the welfare of all of God’s creations, which he has done through his dietary choices and advocacy.
