"The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience."-Eleanor Roosevelt
Welcome to our class! I'm excited to spend time with you, getting to know your personalities, learning styles and interests. Together we will co-create a strong classroom culture that allows you to be empowered as both leaders and decision makers. In our social studies class you will develop a love and appreciation for learning history through the use of primary and secondary sources, watching historical documentaries, analyzing political cartoons, and assessing the context behind document-based questions. The knowledge and skills attained through your studies will allow you to solve problems and make logical decisions in your daily lives. I have high expectations for all of my students and I look forward to collaborating with you to ensure a positive and successful academic outcome for the 2024-2025 school year.
Thank you for choosing St. Joseph School and entrusting us with your child's education! A Catholic school offers an education that combines Catholic faith and teachings with academic excellence. I love being an educator and I get a great sense of achievement from seeing my students develop and grow as individuals. I view learning as a lifelong process in which self-motivation and discipline play a major role and I hope to instill a love of learning and desire for constant knowledge within each student. I will continue to work towards SJS’s mission to promote “the physical, social, emotional and spiritual growth of each child” during this school year and beyond. I understand how vital education is in the preparation of young people to achieve success in all endeavors set before them. Thus, one of the most important goals during the school year is to keep the lines of communication open between the parent(s)/guardian(s) and teacher. Positive and productive communication is key to your child’s success! If you notice that your child is struggling, please reach out to me but also encourage them to ask me questions either during or after class. I look forward to working together during the 2024-2025 school year!
